To me, when I saw the click-bait sounding title of this book, I made fun of it incessantly. I've read the original Pride and Prejudice and watched the mini-series too many times, and to me it's sacred. It just sounded so absurd that there was no way it could be good! That is, until I picked it up one day in a bookstore and read the first few chapters. It was everything that the original Austen was, but with the hilarious twist that the undead roamed the land. A great read!To me, when I saw the click-bait sounding title of this book, I made fun of it incessantly. This book was a difficult read for me, but I absolutely love the characters that Austen so clearly portrays in her novel. Full of philosophical and witty moments, this book will have you intrigued by it's incredible plot twists and guessing what will happen next. This book was a difficult read for me, but I absolutely love the characters that Austen so clearly portrays in her novel. When my mom handed this book to me, I expected it to be a typical, boring re-telling of Cinderella with the steampunk twist loosely applied to it, but it was so much more! This was a very enjoyable book with many exciting, romantic, and heart wrenching moments woven together to create a thrilling story. The only complaint I can have is that it was predictable at times, but one can argue that's because it is retelling a classic fairytale. When my mom handed this book to me, I expected it to be a typical, boring re-telling of Cinderella with the steampunk twist loosely applied to it, but it was so much more! I can't say that this was a book I picked up and couldn't put down until it was done, but it was everything that the reviews claim it that it is - humorous, well written, and heart wrenching. I was always either crying from sadness or because I was laughing so hard. A wonderful take on the way that a dog might view the world. This book takes you on an emotional roller coaster as you watch the various lives of a dog, searching for his purpose. Overall an incredible book, and highly recommended by me.I can't say that this was a book I picked up and couldn't put down until it was done, but it was everything that the reviews claim it that it is - humorous, well written, and heart wrenching. Deep Blue, though being a rather enjoyable book, was incredibly easy to predict. If you don't know what I'm talking about, then think about how many times you've heard this before: a reluctant heir to the throne, feeling pressured by her whole kingdom to be perfect. She wants to run away, but there is a sense of responsibility binding her to the castle that she hates. Then, she gets her chance as disaster strikes.
It was rather cheesy, but other than that a fairly simple to understand and classic adventure story involving strong, empowered female characters fighting to save the world.Deep Blue, though being a rather enjoyable book, was incredibly easy to predict. This was a pretty good book. I myself am a bit old for Rick Riordan, but I can tell you that it has a well made plot, humorous moments, and is a generally an easy, enjoyable read.

I really enjoyed this book! When one of my friends recommended it to me, I wasn't really too interested in it (the title really does sound like click-bait, doesn't it?) but when I picked it up I couldn't put it down.
It was the perfect mix of mystery, history, a bit of romance, and some horror, not to mention the well paced build up to an exciting climax! This book will keep you up deep into the night, scouring it's pages for answers and adventure.I really enjoyed this book! In the beginning, I was honestly a bit bored with this book. It was very wordy and detailed, and although I loved how everything was described, I was lacking action.
But when I hit somewhere around chapter three, the action picked up and grabbed me right away. I couldn't put the book down for two days, until I finished! If you like fantasy, this book is for you. The was that the author describes magic is amazing, it feels so realistic, and her battle scenes are fantastically written. This book is full of hidden themes, action, mystery, magic, and a bit of romance as well (although it isn't the main focus of the book). The ending was very well thought out, and I certainly hope there will be a sequel. (Once you envision the Dragon as Alan Rickman, you can never go back. It is the truth.)
