This book was kind of messy and the characters were pretty scattered. I didn't really connect with any of the characters. Nor were they memorable when I went back to continue reading it after a few days away. There are some time jumps between chapters and the story is told from the perspective of the siblings.

After the accident involving the child, the ones involved seem to make one bad decision after another, their lives spinning out of control. Although, Olivia seemed more redeemed and accepting of the situation.

Overall, the book was very messy and the characters not very relate-able and memorable

I love Carol Anshaw, but this book isn't as strong as her first two novels, Aquamarine and Seven Moves.

Too trashy for me

Beautiful language, great characters and a moving plot add up to a superb book.

Poignant, sad, tragic, but slowly paced and generally overdone.

Funny, hip and smart, especially in her subtle cultural signifiers.

This cleverly titled book examines the impact of a fatal accident on a group of people. A character-driven novel full of humor and crisp dialogue.

A good basic idea, built upon layer by layer to form a very enjoyable (although devastating) story about life and loss. Would recommend!
