Luke Fitzwilliam is in denial that a dangerous killer is walking the streets of Wychwood. Despite what Miss Pinkerton says, the village still appears to be the same serene place it always has been. He also doubts her claims that a doctor was next on the list. But when both Miss Pinkerton and Dr. Humbleby meet tragic endings, it is more than a simple coincidence.
