Add a CommentI barely made it through about 40 pages before I had to throw in the towel on this one. Iris Johansen used to be one of my favorite authors, but this one was such a disappointment. The premise is really interesting but unfortunately the characters and the dialog do not deliver. Don't waste your time on it.
100 pages read and was not able to get into the story. I love Iris Johansen but not this one.
improbable plot line. was okay, but that is the best I can say
Thought this book would be better than it was. An OK read but I didn't much care for the plot nor the characters. Repetition and bland dialogue. What is it with authors using one word, italicized descriptions? I would rather they describe what has happened rather than insert a word. Feels like you are reading a script and not a book. I wouldn't wait for this book... Not worth it.
I usually love this writers stories, but this one is really slow.
I have finally given up after reading three forth of it, just too much repeating in the dialog, which in the end makes it boring. This could have been written with half the amount of pages.
Not part of her series, but it was a good read.
