Add a CommentThis is probably one of the darkest books I've ever read.
Don't let the start of the book fool you. At first, you think you're just on another YA ride about an awkward but cute guy whose got a crush on the hottest girl at the gym, but his family problems keep him from truly getting what he wants. The more the plot thickens, however, the more you start wondering just how twisted Rose can get. There are several plot twists that are nicely and believably incorporated. This is a must for anyone interested in personality disorders or a good psychological thriller.
This was a novel that was highly praised and am not sure why. Found it dull and often silly.
What makes this book really disturbing is that it could actually happen. A great choice for teens that like creepy reads. Imagine a psychotic Shirley Temple...
Warning: There's a fair bit of explicit language and sexual content for a teen book.
Boy am I glad Rosa is not my sister. Enticing read all the way up to a stunningly shocking end.
