This historical mystery takes place in East Africa shortly after the end of WWI. It features an endearing, spunky and spirited main character as well as some interesting secondary characters. As a mystery, this book was okay but what I really enjoyed was the setting. The descriptions of East Africa and it's people as well as the atmosphere of the British Colony.

First book in the series. I didn't realize how much backgound information I was missing. Biscuit is introduced here, too.
