Barnaby, Hooker, Rosa, Felicia, and Beans the St. Bernard set sail to the Florida Keys in order to find the wooden body of Baron Samedi that matches their recently acquired (stolen) wooden hand. But in the world of Petro Voodoo a hand for a hand and a Baron for a boat is fair play. Barnaby and Hooker have to find a way back to Miami with the stolen body of Baron Samedi. Ransom notes for the Happy Hooker, a sack of snakes, and a ticked-off chicken leave only one place safe enough to hide a body Hooker's mom's house.

If possible I would prefer Large Print for this book.

I liked the drawings. Story was OK. This is a 2 part story, rather than 2 separate stories. It takes both volumes to get the whole story.

it's funny but it took a while for me to get used to the drawings.

Not a series I will read again. Not her normal stuff.

The Evanovichs have done it again. They created the humor and action of Metro girl with the graphics of a comic without dumbing it down. A fun read. Can't wait for the next one!

It's a very quick read. A good story and sometimes funny. I enjoyed the book.

Writing is not suited to this genre. The exposition repeated itself, much was said that should have been shown, and the characters ended up very flat. Hooker looked about 12 years old and Barnaby looked like a barbie doll. Very disappointed.

Writing doesn't match the genre. They say things that should be shown, or left unsaid. Hooker loses all charm, and becomes flat, and Barnaby is just Hooker's adoring sidekick. I was quite disappointed. Also, I felt the exposition was lacking. One repeated stuff that had already been said.

This is a graphic novel, but the story is good and the drawings are excellent! It took me about 15 minutes to read...looking forward to the next one

About 20 minutes worth of reading. It has all the elements of traditional Janet Evanovich, but there is not enough substance to really capture my attention.
