Didn’t like the way it started, looked dismal. Didn’t watch.
This is a 2015 Australian-Irish suspense directed by Kim Farrant.
It is an emotionally gripping, profoundly strange and peculiarly dark story with an open ending.
Although it is a thought-provoking character-driven story, the film doesn't really solve the bizarre case, leaving me unsatisfied.
The performances of the major actors appear superb, giving the film an almost unberable tension and suspense.
They had a good opportunity to make an intense and emotional film but this turned into a " HUH" movie half way through without an ending that was comfortable or complete.
Enjoyed it until the end. I hate movies with no definitive ending!
Pretty country and a lot of characters to dislike or detest, a plot that goes on forever and a failed attempt at art, as nearly as I can discern. If I'd had any intelligence I'd have quit watching sometime around a quarter-hour. Pretty terrain though.
