This film started off so interesting- the young son was so engaging-. Unfortunately the acting of the man's wife was so bad, she looked and acted more like a sister to the man's daughter, which then felt like a B movie. The story line is good and keeps one's attention. There were some grotesque scenes toward the end, quite violent. At the end the daughter's clothing is questionable for the circumstances, once again the acting of the mother was lame. Didn't realize I'd seen it before but watched it to the end, although my wife lost interest for much of the movie and was grossed out by the end scenes so left the room again.

This movie is sofa king awful! Total b-list cast of "actors" including some geezer, who is supposedly famous!? I was looking forward to the ending, tried to watch the special features, and yanked the disc, before any more video graphic torture....

Tries to be like a spaghetti western or like the 'Deadwood' series. Doesn't really work though.

Description showed great promise of a Western with a rugged rancher's journey to find his wayward runaway teen daughter etc. Full of old time clichéd elements inserted in almost silly unimaginative scenes. But, there is not too many new Westerns out there to watch now and this will do.

You killed my best friend Willie Parker. Just turned 17.
-He drew first.
That ain't what he told me before he died.
-Some men choose to cast themselves in a brighter light before they meet their maker. And Kansas soil's full of fools who thought they were quicker.
But in this case... I'm gonna have to align myself with your mama. Because nothing, now you all listen up... nothing, and I mean nothing in the whole world, is more important than family. A family... in harmony... will prosper... in everything. That's an old Chinese proverb. That's one we should all live by.
Ain't no trains for a good minute.
-No, sir.
Long ways back where you come from.
-Yes, sir.
Longer still on your own two feet.

You walk any slower, you're going backwards.
You ain't looking for trouble now, son, are ya? You remind me of a young'in that passed through here, fire in his eyes like yours. I'm gonna tell you the same thing I told him. There's a battle in every man. Two wolves that exist inside each of us. One's evil and anger, the other's love and hope. You know which one wins? The one you feed. Which one you gonna feed, hoss?
Haven't had the privilege of their surnames yet.
-Arthur Alan.
Well, Arthur with two first names...
What you got?
-Full house. Queens over tens! ... Silas. Silas, what the hell you doing, boy?
Funny thing is I got queens too.
