Rory Yates returns in Patterson's follow-up to "Texas Ranger." After becoming a national sensation for foiling a bank robbery, his jealous lieutenant sends Rory to a small oil town to get him out of the way. The people in the town seem off, and things aren't adding up in the case. Before long, he has to decide if he can solve the case and still stay on the right side of the law.
Really enjoyed this book. Looking forward to the next one in this series.
TEXAS OUTLAW is the 2nd book in the Texas Ranger series by James Patterson and Andrew Bourelle. I loved it. The first book, TEXAS RANGER, was very good. The plot in this one was excellent, great character development, lots of twists and turns. Takes place in rural west Texas. Very much looking forward to a 3rd edition - please hurry Mr. Patterson!
Not a lot of meat on this turkey. Better than the first book in the series, Texas Ranger, but still not great. An easy read, written at the third grade level, but doesn't go too deep on the characterization. If you're looking for a character-driven story, this isn't it, unless you like your characters cardboard and flat. Meh.
