First of the series and with Jason as the driver. Outrageous ammo in destroying a "safe" house, gorgeous chase scenes in and around Monaco.

When you're a transporter, you have to have a code: 1. First ruling of transporting: don't talk about transporting. 2. Never look in the package. 3. Transporters never say die! 4. Never fall in love. Jason Statham is the transporter and he's at best and transporting things until he breaks rules 2 and 4. If you like your action inane and explosive, this French-produced (part of the Luc Besson assembly line) movie is pretty entertaining as long as you don't think about it. Followed by some sequels, which were also about transporting things. Oh, if the woman's father looks familiar it's because he was in the opening night club scene of "Temple of Doom."

I really like Jason Statham. And there is a lot of action. But...
It's just TOO stupid! Every bit of it, from being to end. Yes, I know they are trying to be funny, but it leaps out of that, into trying to take itself seriously. Not.

Fun, slick action movie. Has a nice style to it and a bit of humor.

This is still the best action/adventure film of Jason Statham's career to date.

I'm ex-military.
- I am an ex-little boy
In French, we have a saying: Never believe the cook.
- She's not the cook.
You were a soldier. Your job was to save people.
-Past tense.
What does that mean?
-I got tired of seeing my best efforts turned into bullshit by the same people who pay me to do the job. No one cared.
This time, I care.
Oh, poor Frank. What'd she tell you? We're smuggling people in containers? Lai's the perfect name for her.
Like a dogshit... You're everywhere.

Rule one: Never change the deal. Deal was transportation for three men with a combined weight of 254 kilos.
-Yeah? Well, this is a new deal.
An extra 80 kilos means we won't make it on the gas I allotted.
- We'll stop for more gas.
- Every stop we make exposes us.
Every exposure increases the risk of getting caught. An extra 80 kilos means the shock absorbers I installed for this job won't allow us to outmaneuver any police that might be chasing us, which means, if there is a chase, we lose our advantage, increasing the chance of getting caught. I don't want to get caught. You don't want to get caught.

Rule two: No names.
...Once we make a deal, it cannot be changed or renegotiated.
- Another rule?
That's rule number one.
The deal is the deal. Rule number one.
- Rules are meant to be broken.
Not mine.
Rule three: Never look in the package.
Rules. You can't get anything done in a world without rules.
You broke the rules, your rules. Did you expect me to recommend you for anotherjob?
