Lemmy Kilmister holds a special place in the pantheon of heavy metal gods. This fantastic documentary provides an intimate view of the man behind the deafening sonic wall that is Motorhead. From his early career with the The Rockin’ Vickers, to his time with Hawkwind and finally as the front man for Motorhead, Lemmy speaks candidly about his life and his music. Members of Black Sabbath, Metallica and Guns N’ Roses offer both praise and amazement for Lemmy’s musical influence and his superhuman consumption of drugs and alcohol. Even if you’re not headbanger give ‘Lemmy’ a try. You may still hate the music, but you may discover a new-found appreciation for the man behind it.
